A little about us…

NJ Healthy Homes was founded in 2012, by Samantha Dietz, in an effort to help herself and others, become healthier, more energy-efficient and more eco-conscious with their everyday choices!

Samantha has enjoyed living and working in New Jersey and has fallen in love with all The Garden State has to offer. A real estate agent by day, Samantha is a proud member of the National Association of REALTORS® and their Green REsource Counsel, where she earned her NAR GREEN Designation. Through her work, she came to realize that so many who truly wanted to live green, just weren’t sure how to, easily, maintain a sustainable lifestyle. (After all, it isn’t easy being green!) She decided to team up with her husband, Keith, a teacher at the Willow School in Gladstone, and NJ Healthy Homes was born! The perfect combination of the job she loves and her passion for the environment!

At NJ Healthy Homes, our goal is to be a local resource for green living. We provide our readers with easy lifestyle changes that can help any and everyone be greener at home (without breaking the bank); this means more than simply planting gardens, recycling and composting (although you should do those things too!). Being green is a lifestyle choice, one that doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. We hope to educate our readers through simple, everyday tips and tricks! We will also feature easy recipes and DIY activities, as well as promote local businesses with a green flair!

When she isn’t trying to make the world a greener place, Samantha enjoys Nature Photography (you can check out her stuff via the Instagram link or visit the springTHEME studios site), enjoys spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs, Michael and Johnny, and loves to travel.

NJ Healthy Homes proudly supports The Raritan Headwaters Association, the US National Amputee Soccer Team, The Willow School and various local animal rescue organizations.
